Hi there

Hi there - Dolly and Fred Designs

Hi all, thank you so much for coming to read my first ever blog post!! I’m Jo, I’m the designer and main cog behind Dolly and Fred Designs. Dolly and Fred are my two children, though they are not their real names, just the names that stuck. They are my inspiration, and Fred who is 4, is my biggest critic. He tells me what he does and doesn’t like as well as what designs I should do next, though he doesn’t always get his own way! It’s currently on my to do list to expand my collection of space prints because ‘he hasn’t got enough of them in his room’. Dolly is younger (she’s only 1) and already knows what she wants. She loves the prints I made for her room, (the Boho woodland set for anyone who is interested) she waves to the animals every day. In fact, one of her first words was rabbit, so I’ll take that print set as a success. I’m also a Christian and love to have encouraging verses around the house to catch my eye at the times when I really need them. I hope my prints can inspire you and bring something to your life too.

Designing and getting my prints out into the world is my focus but I thought it would be a great idea to run a blog alongside my shop too. This way I can journal the process in a different way, showcase new products and show you my successes as well as my failures, after all I am still learning too. I’m also lucky enough to be able to work on some design commissions for other companies that don’t go onto the main part of my website. This blog will be a great way for me to showcase some of those companies and the other behind the scenes work I do. If you would like to collaborate with me or if you need some design work, please do get in contact and I would love to work with you where I can.

If your excited to find out more about what I do, the projects I am working on and the behind the scenes commissions then stay tuned. You can even sign up to the newsletter to keep up to date with all things Dolly and Fred. I would love for you to walk with me on this journey as I learn, grow and discover the different ways I can bring my inspiration into your homes.

If you made it this far, thank you so much.

Talk to you all soon,

Jo
